Applus+ showcases cybersecurity evaluation experiences and trends in its first Cybersecurity Workshop in China

    More than 70 attendees, from around 50 client companies in Asia, attended the first China Cybersecurity Workshop organized by Applus+ Laboratories in Shanghai.
    Applus+ clients TMC and Winbond participated in the workshop as sponsors, sharing their successful experiences on working with Applus+ as an evaluation laboratory. Both companies achieved EMVCo and Common Criteria EAL5+ certificates with SOGIS recognition.
     
    Security experts form Applus+ Laboratories Barcelona and Madrid (Spain) joined Applus+ local experts, and representatives from TMC and Winbond, to analyze the cybersecurity trends, upcoming regulations and the latest attack techniques, at component and product levels. The event ended with a roundtable discussion focus on how to secure IoT, automotive and industry systems, as well as possible certification schemes for those markets.
     
     

    New cybersecurity services in China

    In 2018, the IT lab at Applus+ Shanghai has achieved the A2LA ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, which demonstrates Applus+ Shanghai laboratory’s expertise in undertaking evaluations in line with the Common Criteria methodology. In the workshop, our local security experts shared our knowledge on Common Criteria site certifications and consultancy services.
