Applus+ will participate in the GlobalPlatform Seminar, ‘Security in our Connected World’, in Beijing

03/09/2018

Our experts will take an active role in the seminar, as speakers and in round table discussions focused on the role of the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) as a protective element for Internet of Things devices and solutions.

Following the success of its last event, GlobalPlatform is returning to China to hold a new seminar on technologies for security, with experts and companies involved in the security sector. The event will take place in Beijing on the 19th of September, 2018 and will be followed by a technical workshop about GlobalPlatform technologies on the 20th of September.
Experts from Applus+ will once again take part in the seminar on the 19th of September, this time with a technical conference about the role of TEE in the Internet of Things, and also as participants in a round table discussion about new standards and regulations in IoT.

In both cases, Applus+ will highlight the role which TEE can play as an element to secure IoT solutions and devices, either as an alternative or a complement to a secure element (chip). The TEE can be used to protect sensitive actions which we don’t want to delegate to the operating system, or to protect sensitive elements in a secure storage environment.
