Applus+ Laboratories enhances its material testing services for automotive product development in China

08/08/2023

With the dynamic development of the automotive industry in China, the requirements for automotive material testing are constantly evolving.

To help meet this challenge and the needs of our large base of clients, our automotive testing lab in Shanghai is expanding its offer with a specialized material testing and parameter conversion service. This allows the creation of specific material cards for Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) software.

The automotive industry is undergoing great transformations, such as increased use of innovative and sustainable materials in product development and CAE simulation.

As a response, Applus+ Laboratories counts on a technological industry expert,  Applus+ DatapointLabs, a North American laboratory specialized in material testing and material parameter conversion to create material cards for diverse simulation (CAE) programs.

Aligned with fostering innovation and the rapid development in automotive testing, our Shanghai-based lab, Applus+ Reliable Analysis will now provide a more complete material testing offer. How? By offering the corresponding material card services according to specific requirements. This in turn, enables us to be a one-stop shop for finite element analysis, crash and drop simulation, and injection molding simulation.

Additionally, our automotive testing lab will soon expand its full set of tests to offer material testing and simulation for physical performance, thermal and flowability testing on a wide range of materials, including plastic, composite materials, foam, rubber, metal and other automotive materials.

If you want to know more about our recent material testing technology, please get in touch with one of our experts or consult our Applus+ Laboratories official website.
